We’re so excited to be working with Next Step Produce, a local Maryland farm who has revolutionized the region agriculture by cultivating organic upland rices, grains and beans.
This corn variety is called “Rebellion” for good reason! Crossbreeding landraces with popcorn creates a pollen-incompatibility with GMO corn.
Polenta recipe:
- Cornmeal 1 cup
- Cold water/milk 3 cups
- Salt 1 tsp
- Combine above ingredients & stir well. Set to high heat until boil and begins to thicken. Reduce heat and stir regularly until done, ~30 minutes.

Our produce is available for curbside pick-up at the farm daily from 10am-4pm. The farm is located at 906 Bladensburg Rd. NE, Washington, DC 20002.

Available every Sunday 8:30am-1:30pm. Note you must proceed through the market even if you are only picking up your order. Please order by Wednesday 3pm for Sunday pickup the same week.
