Shiso is a curiously unique annual herb in the mint family. The flavor is reminiscent of both mint and basil, with nutty and citrusy elements. Red Perilla Shiso is a deep red-purple with a slight shimmer to the leaves. It’s often used as a wrap for sushi and cooked food.
